Programming:

 
 

Program the transmitter to your vehicle's installed aftermarket system:

 

1. Start with the key OFF, and the valet switch OFF.

 

2. Turn key to Run. 

 

3. Flip the valet switch up and down 3 times---ON/OFF ON/OFF ON/OFF.  Siren chirps once.  You're now about to programm channel one.

 

4. Press button 1 on the remote.  The siren makes one long chirp.  Channel one is now programmed.

 

5. Flip the valet switch once; ON/OFF.  The siren makes two chirps; you're about to programm channel two.

 

6. Press button 2 on the remote.  The siren makes one long chirp.  Channel two is now programmed.

 

(If you have more buttons on the remote, continue in this fashion until they're all programmed.)

 

7. Turn the key off.  The siren makes some short chirps, and then a long one. 

 

8. You're all done!

TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING GUIDE


The transmitters included with the system have been pre-programmed
at the factory, witheachbutton pre-assigned to controlaspecific function
of the system. Although the system in the vehicle has either a 2 or 3
channelreceiver, dependingonthemodel,the transmitters included with
the system are capable of transmitting3distinct signals. This allowsyou
to programeachtransmitter tomorethanonevehicle in two car families,
and also allows you to change which button(s) control certain functions
of the system.
( Example: Transmitter channel 3 can be programmed to activate
Receiver channel 2. ) Refer to the chart below for access to each of the
transmitter channels, and for the standard factory button assignments.

PROGRAMMING THE TRANSMITTERS


It is important torememberthat during programming,eachindividual step
of the proceduremustbeexecutedwithin15secondsof the previous step.
When the 15 second time limit is allowed to expire, the system will
automatically terminate theprogrammingmode.This is indicatedbyalong
chirp from the siren.
Additionally, the system will store codes from up to four different
transmitters. Ifa5thtransmitter isprogrammedto any receiver channel,
then the first transmitter programmed to that channel will be erased from
the system’s memory.


NOTE:Some Keyless Entry Units do not include a sounding device
thereforemaynotrespondwithbeeptoneswhereindicatedbelow.
Simply follow the proceedure and where where indicated, press
and hold the transmitter button for 3 seconds.
To program new or additional transmitters,
1. Enter the vehicle, and turn the ignition key to the " on " position.
2. Flip the valet switch on - off - on - off - on - then off.
3. Thedash L.E.D. will flashonetime,andthe sounding device willbeep
one time, indicating the system is ready to accept programming for
receiver channel 1.
4. Press and hold the Lock/Unlock Icon button until the sounding device
emitsalong beep, indicating the signal hasbeenstored intomemory.
5. If you have additional transmitters (upto4) thatneedtobeprogrammed,
repeat step 4 for each transmitter.
6. Flip the valet switch on then off.
7. ThedashL.E.D. will flashtwotimes,andthesoundingdevice willbeep
two times, indicating the system is ready to accept programming for
receiver channel 2.
8. Pressandhold the Option transmitter button until the sounding device
emitsalong beep, indicating the signal hasbeenstored intomemory.
9. Ifyouhaveadditionaltransmitters(upto4)thatneedtobeprogrammed,
repeat step 8 for each transmitter.
10. Flip the valet switch on then off.
11. The dash L.E.D. will flash three times, and the sounding device will
beepthree times, indicating the system is ready to acceptprogramming
for receiver channel 3 (only available on certain models).
13. Ifyouhaveadditionaltransmitter(upto4)thatneedtobeprogrammed,
repeat step 12 for each transmitter.
14. Turn the ignition key off.Thesounding device will emitoneshortbeep
followed by one long beep indicating the system has terminated the
program mode.

 


TRANSMITTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT


You will notice a decrease in transmitter range as the battery condition
deteriorates. Transmitter battery replacement is recommended at least
every 10 to 12 months, depending uponhowfrequently the transmitter is
used.
The transmitter has a small red L.E.D. built into the case. This L.E.D. can
beusedto indicate battery condition. If the L.E.D.doesnot illuminate, then
the battery is discharged, and must be replaced.
To replace the transmitter battery,
1. Remove the small phillips head screw from the bottom cover of the
transmitter.
2. Carefullyunsnapthetopcoverofthetransmitterfromthebottomcover.
3. Remove the discharged battery, making note of the location of the +
and - contacts, and replace with a new type GP 27A 12 volt battery.
4. Replace the transmitter cover, taking care not to damage the L.E.D.
or switches on the circuit board, and secure with the small phillips
head screw.

UNCUT / NEW KEY BLADE = This means the blade has never been cut to fit a vehicle's ignition swtich and you will need to take the keyless remote to a local locksmith or dealer in order to have them cut the keyblade to fit your ignition switch. 

 

CHIPPED CASE = This means the casing of the remote has a chip (usually about 1" in length) out of the casing's edge. If you click on "More Images" below the large photo on listing page you will be able to view a photo of the chip. The case will still stay secruely closed and is sealed regardless of the chip. SOME FADED WRITING= Some of the writing on the buttons of the remote will be faded.


COMPLETELY FADED WRITING = All of the writing on the buttons of the remote will be faded.


ONE BROKEN KEYRING LOOP = This keyless remote control style normally has two keyring loops; however, this one only has one keyring loop : one is broken off. The existing keyring loop will securely hold your keyring.
